The Westwood Group was founded by Mark L. Freifeld, a 20-year veteran of the healthcare industry. Prior to starting The Westwood Group, Mark served as President/Founder of a California management consulting firm serving the business needs of medical providers by providing consulting services, outsourced business office services, and educational seminars. He also was a partner in a national executive search firm where he started the healthcare division specializing in the recruitment and placement of director to senior level executives.

Why use a search firm? Most companies use search firms to recruit key talent that they cannot recruit on their own. Also, our network and healthcare industry contacts are extensive. We partner with our clients to assist them in recruiting the best talent for the specific job opportunity. We gain an understanding of the company culture to assure a strong “chemistry” match between the candidate, the hiring manager, and the company. Our services are flexible to match to the client’s needs. For example, we offer both retained or contingency basis.
Our goal is to partner with our clients. A one-time search is not our goal. By exceeding expectations, we create long-term relationships that allow us to intimately learn our client’s culture, management team, and what it would be like to work for our client. This allows us to have better and more accurate communications with potential candidates. By focusing only on the healthcare industry, all of our resources are used to continually build our network and healthcare expertise.
